Morning Preparations and the Sermon

The session begins with the characters' luggage already packed and loaded as they wait at an early-morning tram station in the capital city of Tirywin's Rest. Renault, a highly devout follower of the Radiant Concorde and spiritual advisor to Taspar, insists on performing a 45-minute sermon to greet the sunrise. Uninterested in sitting through the long prayer, Mali and Craig leave the station to grab coffee.

The Bistro and Axi the Cat

Mali and Craig visit a local bistro run by a man named David. David is extremely warm to Mali, giving her premium coffee grounds, but he takes an instant dislike to Craig's curt attitude and secretly laces his black coffee with cat hair. While there, Mali meets a friendly cat with a gold-leaf bauble on its collar that reads “Axi”. David also shares some gossip, revealing that the CEO of Aria Corp and members of the royal family will be joining them on their upcoming maiden voyage. When Mali and Craig return to the station, Craig attempts to pass the tainted coffee to Taspar, who spots the cat hair and rejects it.

Boarding the Aria Star Line

A highly advanced, 100-foot-long trolley of glass and steel arrives. The train is operated by 71, a very tall, pale, and hairless man wearing a jumpsuit. Once onboard, the players observe their surroundings. Taspar spots an Aria Corp company man in a tailored suit, as well as a mysterious group of 8 heavily cloaked figures in the back of the car carrying large cases, which Craig deduces hold musical instruments.

Taspar strikes up a conversation with the company man, Thomas. Thomas reveals that 71 and the rest of the train crew are a new model of artificial human/genetic hybrids created by ARIA Corp, and this voyage serves as their first public debut.

*(Note: During this part of the session, the players for Mali and Craig have to leave for real-world scheduling reasons, so their characters fall asleep in their seats.)*

The Airship Reveal

As the trolley climbs higher into the mountains, it breaks through the fog to reveal a colossal glass-and-steel airship—the Twilight—moored to a massive tower. While the rest of the train is transfixed by the sight, Renault intentionally stares directly into the rising sun to finish his prayers. Meanwhile, Taspar realizes that Axi the cat has somehow followed them onto the trolley and is affectionately rubbing against his leg.

The Dream Singers

Noticing that the 8 cloaked figures are ignoring the magnificent airship, Renault approaches them to aggressively proselytize his religion of the “light”. The strangers are highly unreceptive, and their leader casts a sphere of Silence over Renault to shut him up.

Carrying Axi, Taspar walks to the back of the train to de-escalate the situation and retrieve his spiritual advisor. The leader of the cloaked figures drops the spell and introduces his group as the “Dream Singers”. They are on a pilgrimage to the New World and worship the things that move in dreams, rather than the light. Taspar politely diffuses the tension and leads Renault back to their seats, though Renault stubbornly wedges a religious pamphlet into the strangers' seating area before leaving.

The session concludes with the trolley continuing its approach to the docks.
